Boarding Answers:
What can I bring from home for my pet?
We welcome anything from home that you feel would make your pet's
stay more pleasant. You may bring toys, treats, food and medications.
The only thing we respectfully ask you not to bring in is bedding
as we will provide a soft towel or towels for your pet to lay on.

Why can't I bring my own bedding?
Most housebroken pets will soil their bedding while boarding in an attempt
to make their surroundings smell familiar and less foreign. Because we also
groom during the day, our washing machine and dryer are usually filled with
the towels that need cleaning from the bathing that we do. It is very hard
to fit in several beds, blankets and pillows, and we do not want to give
you back soiled belongings.

Will you administer my pet's medications while he boards?
We will gladly give any medications that your pet requires with the exception of
insulin injections or medications that need to be given more than twice daily.

What do you feed?
We proudly feed only Precise Pet foods. It is made with chicken meat and
not chicken "parts", and preserved naturally with vitamins C and E. It
also contains clarified poultry fat as it's fat source, rather than undigestible
animal lards or other oils, which means healthier skin and a shiny coat for your pet.

I'm afraid my pet won't eat while I'm away from him.
Unfortunately, this sometimes happens. In that case, we will introduce small
portions of canned food to his kibble to entice him to eat. Owners of boxers
should be aware that they have a high tendency to lose weight quickly while
boarding even when they eat all of their meals. This may be attributed to
metabolic changes due to stress, and is also observed in other breeds as well.

Why does my pet seem so thirsty when he comes home?
Be assured that your pet was given fresh, clean water around the clock while boarding
but just the excitement of your reunion with him and the drive home is enough
to make him thirsty again.

Will my pet be allowed to play with other pets while boarding?
For safety and hygiene, we will not allow pets from different families to interact.
It would only take a moment for disaster to strike, and we are not comfortable
risking your pet's safety while you are away. Many pets get along well with others,
but we feel that you can never screen them thoroughly enough to guarantee that
a fight will not break out, and an injured pet is the last thing you need to
deal with when returning from vacation.

Is your facility climate controlled?
Yes. We offer heated and air-conditioned accommodations for
your pets, with walks outdoors two to three times daily.

Will my pet be allowed outside without a leash?
Your pet will be walked outdoors only in the fenced area on a 20 foot leash.
He may roam and sniff around ahead of us at this length, while still
remaining under our safe supervision.

Why does my pet smell after coming home from boarding?
This is a much misunderstood topic for many pet owners. Many housebroken pets
soil their area while boarding for several different reasons. Some
deposit waste in their kennel in an attempt to make it smell more familiar
and less foreign. Others will repeatedly soil indoors in order to outdo
the smells of the other pets boarding alongside them, in a show of dominance.
Still others just don't want to potty outdoors because they are too busy searching
the fence line for a way out or may feel awkward going to the bathroom while
leashed. We will rinse your pet as often as necessary to keep him sanitary, and
may need to lather him up if he's persistent with his soiling habit at an
extra charge. To avoid a foul odor upon returning home, we suggest you always
schedule a bath for your pet on his last day of boarding. In doing so,
you will receive his last day of boarding free of charge.

When is check out time?
If your pet is not receiving grooming services on his last day of boarding,
you must pick him up by noon in order to avoid another day's charge.
Boarders receiving a grooming may stay as late as 5 p.m. without a
charge for the day.

If we come home earlier than scheduled, can we get a refund
for the unused days?
Because we turned others away for the days that your pet's kennel was reserved,
we can not give refunds should your plans change. We can offer you a store
credit for the unused fees good towards future boarding, grooming, or
merchandise purchases instead.

How do I redeem my store credit?
We will provide you with a receipt for your credit which you must present
when redeeming, much like you would a gift certificate.
